The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the dates for the commencement of class 10 and 12 practical exams, projects, and internal assessments from 1st January 2024. Also, the affiliated schools are advised to upload the marks and internal grades from January itself. The last date for the completion of practical exams as well as uploading marks and internal grades is 14th February 2024.

CBSE Practical Exam 2024 Standard Operating Procedure 

1. The practical exam 2024 for 10th and 12th graders will be conducted according to the instructions and guidelines provided on the official website. 
2. The tests must be held in two to three sessions if the number of students exceeds 20.
3. The grades of the CBSE practical exam 2024 will be uploaded simultaneously. The board will not allow any extensions of dates for uploading the marks after the last day of the exam.
4. While the marks are uploaded, schools, external examiners, and internal examiners should be extra careful as once the marks are uploaded, no corrections shall be made afterwards. 
5. Schools and examiners should remember the guidelines by the board about the maximum marks allowed for projects, practical exams, and internal assessments when submitting the final grades.
6. Students engaged in any unethical activities such as cheating, or misbehaving will have to face severe consequences. Examiners are allowed to complain about the same to the board with relevant documents and witnesses. 
7. Fine arts practical exams and assessments will be held in two sessions for students to complete. 

CBSE Practical Exam 2024 Guidelines  

CBSE in its circular has mentioned the following guidelines for CBSE practical exam 2024:

Timely Completion: The board has instructed schools to conduct practical exams between the scheduled dates.

Appointment of External Examiner: The practical/viva examination will be conducted only by the external examiner appointed by the board.

Inspection of laboratory and equipment by the external examiner: The school authorities are instructed to keep the laboratory and equipment ready for the practical examination. However, the external examiner shall inspect them before the exam.

Online System: The online system will be used to check the list of candidates (L.O.C). Along with this schools must ensure that the correct subject with the correct category of students (regular, private, improvement) is mentioned in the online system.

Attendance: The students must appear on the practical exam date 2024 as the board will not provide any second chance for the same.

Unfair Means: Students found guilty of any unfair means like talking in the examination, carrying any prohibited item, using a calculator, etc. in the examination will be punished.

Due to some unforeseen or unavoidable circumstances, some students miss their practical exams. If their practical exam is scheduled at a different time, then the window will show rescheduled rather than absent.
