JEE Main result 2023 was out on 29 April 2023. The official website of JEE Main reflected the results of all the students who appeared for the JEE Main entrance test. The JEE Main entrance exam was in two sessions. While session 1 was held on 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30, and 31 January, session 2 for JEE Main was held on 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 April 2023. Soon students will start applying to JEE Main colleges, but before that, Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will hold the counselling session for admission to JEE Main college list. The counselling session for admission to JEE Main colleges will begin on 19 June 2023. Based on the cut-off and counselling session, students will be selected for JEE Main colleges. There are separate counselling sessions depending on the institutes and regions. 

  • Counselling for 17 technical institutes is done through the CSAB SFTI procedure. 
  • Admission to JEE Main colleges for supernumerary seats in North East and Union Territories is done through the CSAB NEUT counselling procedure. 
  • The CSAB procedure is done after the JoSAA counselling. 

The result for admission to JEE Main colleges is uploaded on the NTA JEE website for admission to Government Institutes, IIITs, and NITs. 

JEE Main Cut-Off 2023 Released for JEE Colleges

After the JEE Main result is out, the cut-off for admission to JEE Main colleges is released. Students are called for counselling sessions by JoSAA based on the JEE Main cut-off. Students who have appeared for the JEE Main entrance exam for admission to reputed engineering colleges accepting JEE Main scores will now undergo the counselling session. The whole admission procedure for admission to colleges that accept JEE Main score would be as follows;

  • You will go through the counseling session if you have scored passing marks in the JEE Mains entrance exam.
  • Candidates have to get registered on the JoSAA website with their JEE Main application form number. 
  • After they get registered, they will be intimated about the counselling schedule.
